NOTIFICATION FOR SELECTION OF IAPMR-KERALA CHAPTER ACADEMIC GRANT 2027
The IAPMR Kerala Chapter invites applications from young physiatrists for the IAPMR-K Academic Grant 2027, an initiative aimed at promoting academic excellence, research, and innovation in the field of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R).
The grant will support one project in each of the following categories:
Academic Grants offered
- IAPMR-K Research Academic Grant- 1
- IAPMR-K clinical Academic Grant- 1
The grant is intended to encourage young physiatrists to undertake meaningful research or develop innovative clinical initiatives that have the potential to contribute to the practice and advancement of PM&R.
General Guidelines
- The Academic Grant shall be a one-time award.
- The duration of the proposed project shall be one year.
- An amount of ₹30,000/- will be awarded for each selected project.
- The grant amount will be disbursed in three equal instalments.
- The selected applicant shall complete the proposed project within the stipulated one-year period.
- A project completion report shall be submitted to the Academic Committee of IAPMR Kerala Chapter at the end of the project.
- A fund utilisation report shall also be submitted for audit purposes.
- The final selection will be based on the merit and quality of the proposal, including its relevance, feasibility, academic value, and potential contribution to PM&R.
- The select list will be announced during REHABCON 2027 in April 2027.
Eligibility criteria
Applicants should fulfil the following criteria:
- Should be an Indian citizen.
- There is no age restriction.
- There is no gender restriction.
- Should possess MD (PM&R), DNB (PM&R), or DPMR qualification.
- Should have less than five years of post-PG experience at the time of application.
- Applicants for the Research Academic Grant should submit a research proposal in Microsoft Word format, not exceeding 1,000 words.
- Applicants for the Clinical Academic Grant should submit a clinical proposal in Microsoft Word format, not exceeding 1,000 words.
- Should be a Life Member of IAPMR Kerala Chapter.
- Should be a Life Member of the National IAPMR.
Submission Deadline
Submission Deadline extends up to 30 November, 2026
